In European folklore, gnomes (also known as goblins or little people) are similar to men tiny fairy creatures.

They are traditionally represented as bearded, mustachioed, and sometimes with characteristic conical hats, often red. Living in the woods, and are (as fairies, elves and dwarves) closely related to the nature in which they live.

In Fantasy gnomes are creatures characterized by a sharp sense of humor, a strong curiosity, an innate artistic sense and a strong respect for animals and other races.

Rarely evil and often friendly, have fun with jokes, pranks and tricks of cunning, but they are also great inventors and alchemists, taking an interest in technology and science.

Gnomes are the embodiment of human creativity and ingenuity.
